Note: This is the 12th entry in the list, and not the 12th Apple-1 produced. The Apple-1 does not have a regular serial number. Only some Apple-1 have a handwritten serial number.
A forensic analysis confirms that the serial number on the back of this Apple-1 is in Steve Jobs' handwriting. More information.

The serial number on the back was authenticated by PSA/DNA as Steve Jobs handwriting.
Sold for US$ 14,000 at VCF auction in 2002 to Roger Wagner. Updated March 2nd, 2018, thanks to Roger Wagner (Apple programmer and creator of HyperStudio).
Sold by RR Auction in June 2022 for US$ 468,750.

White ceramic MOS MCS 6502 CPU, plastic Synertek PIA, 8 KB plastic DRAM, all blue capacitors.
Original Apple Cassette Interface. Cassette Interface Manual, Preliminary Basic Manual, white Operation Manual.
Before 2021 Magnavox cassette recorder, power supply, Apple II keyboard, and amber screen were used.
For the auction other parts were added like the tape recorder Panasonic RQ-413S.
Replaced green keyboard socket and video connector.
