Description

This Apple-1 has a sticker with the number 39 on the back. Next to the heatsink is a round stamp with the number 6.
The latest date code of any component is 7650. The CPU is dated 7643.


History

Bought in January 2018 by Jimmy Grewal from a German senior software engineer. Only the mainboard. The last owner wants to remain anonymous.
The new owner believes the board was purchased by this German software engineer from someone in Rochester, New York, possibly in 1978 or 1979.
The oldest known owner was Schlumberger. According to the current owner, Jimmy Grewal, the name was changed from 'Dubai' to 'Schlumberger #1' in January 2022.

Components

White ceramic Synertek C6502 CPU, plastic Synertek SY6520 PIA, 8 KB plastic DRAM. One small yellow and seven blue capacitors.


Equipment

Only the mainboard. But the current owner added a 2018 period-correct monitor, transformer (Triad F-31X and F-40X from 1976), an '80s Panasonic cassette recorder, a 1979 Apple II+ Datanetics keyboard, and a Replica Cassette Interface (with date-correct components on the ACI).
