Description

White 6502 and disc capacitors.A lot of wires added to the proto area by original owner. Probably keyboard shift lock circuit. Mix of plastic and gold topped purple ceramic DRAM.
Handwritten number 01-0050 on the back. Next to it a faded stamp.


History

Purchased at the VCF 2.0 in 1998 by a Microsoft employee.
Purchased in 2021 by Achim Baqué.
This Apple-1 and 2 others were at PSA for forensic examination. Kevin Lenane really wanted to have an Apple-1. Since January 2022 the new owner of the Apple-1 is Kevin Lenane from NY, USA. It was a swap deal between Achim Baqué and Kevin Lenane. Details are confidential.
Achim introduced Kevin to Daniel Kottke. Daniel offered to bring back the Apple-1 to working condition and end of March Kevin and Daniel met. It is now working.
It is up for auction ending May 22, 2022. Update about the result will follow...

White ceramic CPU MOS MCS 6502 (1576), plastic AMI S6820 PIA (7601), 8 KB mix of plastic and ceramic DRAM. Blue capacitors.


Equipment

No Apple Cassette Interface.In April 2022 owner Kevin added a replica ACI and monitor.


State

Chips added to the breadboard including wires on the back. Wires added to the breadboard front and back. 4 KB original DRAM, 4 KB ceramic DRAM 4096J from 1977 (7708). Missing PROM A1. One big blue capacitor replaced.Daniel Kottke added a replica PROM A1 in April 2022.
