Go to previous entry #86 - Go to next entry #88
Note: This is the 87th entry in the list and not the 87th Apple-1 produced. The Apple-1 does not have a serial number.
Label "43" on the back.
According to the owner: The board was populated but missing the shift registers and DRAMs.owner discarded the original CPU in favor of a later-version "ROR-fixed" 6502 for enhanced performance. This was definitely a work-horse board. A better description might be 'Reclaimed from Steve Jobs' office by an employee.'
Note: See comment at component list.
Unreadable stamp on the back. Probably QC.
It was on exhibition at Vintage Computer Festival West 2019 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View. Achim Baqué verified it and made pictures. Owner is known to Apple-1 Registry curator Achim Baqué.
Working after some fixing at VCF West exhibition 2019.
Marking on PROMs is gone (according to the owner both are original - not possible to verify until further investigation). Original chips except 2513, 74160, three 74161, 74174, one 74S257, six 2504, both 8T97, PIA, CPU and all 4 KB DRAM. One 7400 is usually used only for 1st batch Apple-1 and not 2nd batch. Video connector J2 probably changed.
